Cavs Falls to Mavericks, 120-112 – WQKT Sports Country Radio


The Cleveland Cavaliers fell to the Dallas Mavericks at home Wednesday night by a final score of 120-112. The loss for the Cavaliers marks the fourth loss in the last five games.

The Cavs were without rookie forward Evan Mobley, who suffered an ankle sprain on Monday night in the win against the Orlando Magic. The Cavaliers announced earlier on Wednesday that Mobley will miss at least the next two games due to his injury.

For the Cavs (42-34), guard Caris LeVert led all scorers with 32 points, while All-Star guard Darius Garland had another double-double this season with 25 points and 10 assists. Meanwhile, forward Lamar Stevens had 16 points off the bench and forward Lauri Markkanen had 13 points and six rebounds

For the Mavericks (48-29), All-NBA guard Luka Doncic led all scorers with 35 points while also dishing out 13 assists and grabbing nine rebounds. Forward Dorian Finney-Smith also made a huge impact with 28 points and six made three-pointers.

The Cavaliers next game will be a road matchup with the Atlanta Hawks on Thursday, March 31st, with tip-off set for 7:30 p.m.
