Chagrin Falls High School’s Peyton Gellin is Rotary Student of the Month


CHAGRIN FALLS, Ohio — Chagrin Falls High School senior Peyton Gellin has been selected as Chagrin Valley Rotary Student of the Month for March.

She was chosen based on the leadership and service qualities she has displayed in the community.

Peyton has earned a variety of achievements in sports as a member of the school’s girls soccer, basketball and lacrosse teams.

In soccer, she was named All-American and All-Greater Cleveland Player of the Year in 2021 and helped the Tigers win the Division II state championship last fall.

In the past three years, she has been named to the All-Chagrin Valley Conference and All-Greater Cleveland first teams. Her honors also include all-region first team in 2020 and 2021, All-Ohio first team in 2021 and All-Ohio second team in 2020.

In basketball, Peyton was an all-conference second-team choice in 2020 and 2021 and received all-district honorable mention this year.

In lacrosse, she was an all-region first team and All-Ohio second team selection in 2021 and helped Chagrin Falls to a state runner-up finish in 2019.

Peyton also has been involved in several clubs outside of sports at Chagrin Falls High School, including president of the Art Club, a Link Crew member, International Club member and Women in Sports Cadre member.

She also has taken on leadership roles as a Spanish tutor, lacrosse club coach and lacrosse camp counselor.

Outside of school, Peyton is a lifeguard at a recreation center, volunteers for Empower Sports and enjoys spending time with her family and friends.

In her academic career, she has taken AP Spanish and was named Tiger of the Semester in 2019.

Following graduation, she plans to attend Kent State University, where she will study nursing and play Division I lacrosse.
