Chamber members are encouraged to mark Tuesday, March 15 on their calendars and plan to attend YOUR business luncheon. It will be held from noon–1 pm at Trotters, 123 N. Main Street, New Lexington.

The speaker is Carleen Dotson, Training Specialist/Certified Business Advisor for the Small Business Development Center (SBDC). The SBDC at Ohio University’s Voinovich School of Leadership and Public Affairs is funded through the Small Business Administration, Ohio Development Services Agency, and Ohio University (OU). This funding enables the SBDC to provide no-cost, confidential business assistance by Certified Business Advisors to for-profit businesses in our area. Located in rural Appalachia, the Ohio University SBDC serves a 13 county region, including: Athens, Meigs, Hocking, Perry, Fairfield, Licking Washington, Morgan, Noble, Monroe, Muskingum, Guernsey, and Belmont counties. We understand that businesses within this 13–county footprint face unique challenges. Not only are we situated within rural Appalachia, where infrastructure may be limited, but several of our counties are federally designated as economically depressed or at-risk.

Reservations are not required, but we would like a tentative head count. Please call the Chamber Office at 740-342-3547 or email [email protected] by 10 a.m. on March 14 with numbers. Both a grilled chicken breast and ham will be our lunch options for $15 which include sides, dessert, beverage, and gratuity.

This program is open to the public!
