Cavs Fall to Pistons, 106-103 – WQKT Sports Country Radio


The Cleveland Cavaliers fell to the Detroit Pistons on the road Thursday night by a final scores of 106-103. The loss for Cleveland is the third straight loss for the team, following a four game winning streak.

The Cavaliers were without All-Star guard Darius Garland, who was out with back soreness, and guard Caris LeVert who will reportedly miss around 1-2 weeks with a sprained foot.

For the Cavaliers (35-24), forward Lauri Markkanen returned from an injury suffered earlier in the season and lead all scorers with 22 points and six rebounds. Guard Brandon Goodwin had 15 points and five assists off the bench, while All-Star center Jarrett Allen had 11 points and nine rebounds and rookie forward Evan Mobley had 12 points and eight rebounds.

For the Pistons (14-45), guard Hamidou Diallo led all scorers with 21 points and six rebounds, while rookie guard Cade Cunningham had 17 points with seven rebounds and six assists. Meanwhile, forwards Marvin Bagley III and Jerami Grant both scored 16 points each.

The Cavs next game will be a home matchup against the Washington Wizards on Saturday, February 26th, at 8 p.m.
