Ales and Climate Trails – Columbus Underground

The Columbus chapter of the international grassroots advocacy group Citizens’ Climate Lobby is hosting a monthly speaker series, Ales and Climate Tales, that features local scientists and experts on environmental issues. The third edition of the series will be held Wednesday, February 23, at 6 p.m. on Zoom (Link). Cathy Cowan Becker of Simply Living will talk about the efforts that successfully led to the passing of community choice aggregation in Columbus and the strengthening of the city’s climate action plan.

“I’m excited for the program and to discuss my role in advocating for climate action in Columbus,” Cathy Cowan Becker says.

Ales and Climate Tales will normally take place monthly at various breweries around Columbus. All events will be open to the public.

“Providing venues for people to educate themselves on climate change, with the help of the experts, is a great way to make change happen,” says Donny Murray, co-leader of the CCL Columbus chapter. “Having a beer at a local brewery while doing it is a nice added bonus.”
