Ohio Valley NOW makes donation | News, Sports, Jobs

On Valentine’s Day, members of the Ohio Valley National Organization for Women donated $500 and personal hygiene and grooming items to A.L.I.V.E Inc., which provides shelter, advocacy and education for local victims of domestic violence. On hand for the presentation were, from left, NOW member Linda Caputo; NOW local President Marjie DeFede; NOW local Treasurer Barb Davis; and Jodi Scheetz, A.L.I.V.E.’s executive director. Ohio Valley NOW is a local chapter of the National Organization for Women, the largest group of feminist activists in the United States, committed to taking action for equality, justice, dignity and opportunity for women and girls, representatives explained.
