Lindsay Lohan proudly flashes her engagement ring as she jets into New York

Lindsay Lohan proudly flashed her engagement ring while jetting into New York on Sunday with her new fiance in tow. 

The actress, 35, arrived at JFK airport in a stylish black coat, matching leggings and sneakers. 

She wore a black face covering to protect herself from COVID-19 but still managed to look in great spirits.

She was joined by her fiancé Bader Shammas who donned a puffy black jacket over a white T-shirt and black pants. 

 His hood was pulled up over his head, and he wore a surgical mask. 

Lohan and Shammas announced their engagement last year. They’ve been together since 2019 and live in the United Arab Emirates.

According to The Independent, Shammas, who is based in Dubai, ‘is the assistant vice president of the global investments bank Credit Suisse.’

While Lohan’s taking big steps in her personal life, she’s also hard at work on a career comeback. 

The Parent Trap star has a holiday movie titled Falling for Christmas that is currently in post-production. 

Falling for Christmas will center around an engaged heiress who hits her head while skiing and develops amnesia. When she wakes up, she is being cared for by the owner of the lodge and his daughter.

Lohan made another big appearance recently in a viral Super Bowl commercial for the gym franchise Planet Fitness.  

The Mean Girls star had a little fun at her own expense with jokes about her multiple DUI arrests and hard partying ways in a teaser for her upcoming Super Bowl commercial for Planet Fitness.

Lohan co-starred in the funny and self-deprecating exercise spot alongside William Shatner, Danny Trejo, Dennis Rodman and Jeopardy winner Buzzy Cohen.

‘What’s gotten into Lindsay?’ asks a room of gym goers while the actress pedals away on a stationary bike.

To answer the initial question posed at the start of the clip, it’s not has gotten into Lindsay, rather, it is what she has gotten into – which is a new work out routine at Planet Fitness. 

Lindsay was arrested twice in 2007 for driving under the influence. In 2009 her probation was extended a year for failing to attended substance abuse treatment, which was required. She was sent back to jail for missing a hearing relating to her DUI and thus violating her probation.  

Probation was revoked again in 2010 after she failed a drug test. The following year she was sentenced to house arrest – and forced to wear an ankle monitor – over stealing a necklace from a shop on Abbott Kinney in Venice, California.
