Ohio State student robbed at gunpoint near Columbus campus
COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State University issued a safety alert after student was robbed at gunpoint near the main campus Saturday night.
Police say the student agreed to meet a person in the parking of a CVS pharmacy on North High Street at about 9:45 p.m. Saturday to sell the person a pair of shoes. The sale had been arranged online.
During the meeting with the first suspect, a second suspect armed with a handgun approached and demanded the student’s money. The student didn’t have any money, so the second suspect took the pair of shoes and both suspects ran from the area. They were seen entering a vehicle and driving off.
Police said details on the suspects were limited and no arrests have been made. No injuries were reported.
