Ohio University in Athens — the city where Joe Burrow attended high school and the college for which his father was a former football coach — has fallen for the Ohio curse of adding an “S” where it doesn’t belong.

The Athletic NFL writer and OU grad Jay Morrison tweeted a picture the day after the AFC Championship victory of the Ohio University Inn and Conference Center marquee that read, “Congrats Joe Burrows! Super Bowl Bound!”

Someone tagged a 2014 tweet from Burrow himself reminding people that it is “Burrow… Not Burrows”.

Other commenters mentioned that we should all head down to the Krogers or Meijers to get some snacks to watch Joe Burrows play in the footballs.

The Bengals will take on the Los Angeles Rams during Super Bowl LVI on Sunday, Feb. 13. The Rams won the Jan. 30 NFC Championship game to advance with the Bengals, who overcame the Kansas City Chiefs in overtime just hours earlier to become the AFC champs.

The Super Bowl will take place at 6:30 p.m. at the Rams’ home of SoFi Stadium in Inglewood. NBC will broadcast the game, and fans also can watch on Peacock, Telemundo, NBCSports.com and the NBC Sports app.
