Joe Burrow sparks Ohio State, LSU football reaction after Bengals’ 27-24 AFC Championship

A whirlwind of success for Joe Burrow this season, leading to Sunday’s 27-24 win over the Kansas Chiefs in the AFC Championship Game, has sparked instantaneous reaction centered around his time at Ohio State and LSU from media members who watched the 2019 Heisman Trophy winner and national champion develop into an elite prospect at the college level. The Cincinnati Bengals quarterback said last week he’ll always appreciate lessons learned during his time with the Buckeyes after falling behind Dwayne Haskins on the depth chart, prior to his LSU transfer, ahead of the 2018 season.

“Yeah, I wouldn’t be the same player that I am today without those trials and tribulations that I went through there,” Burrow said Wednesday.

“I loved my time there, I stay in contact with a lot of people from Ohio State and, like I said, I wouldn’t be the same player. I think I am who I am because of the difficult times that I went through in my career.”
