DB with elite speed keeps Ohio State run of PWO commitments going

On Sunday Bucknuts reported that 2022 Dublin (Ohio) Coffman quarterback Mason Maggs, who is the son of former Ohio State and NFL offensive lineman Bob Maggs, visited Ohio State last Saturday. Mason told Bucknuts he had been offered by the Buckeyes as a preferred walk-on. Mason then announced on Saturday that he had committed to the Buckeyes over Ohio University, who offered him as a preferred walk-on as well.

Earlier today Bucknuts had the news that the Buckeyes landed another preferred walk-on commitment, this one coming from Cincinnati (Ohio) Princeton linebacker Jaylon Stoker. The 6-foot-1 and 215-pound Stoker was an All-Conference selection as a senior and has a 3.2 GPA.

And now Bucknuts has the news that Ohio State defensive backs coaches Tim Walton and Perry Eliano will have another man in their room as the Buckeyes have landed yet another preferred walk-on commitment, this one coming from defensive back Colin Kaumann from Avon, Ohio.

The 5-foot-11 and 185-pound Kaufmann has elite speed. He finished 4th in the state of Ohio as a junior in the 100M with a time of 10.6. He also possesses tremendous ball skills and was a team captain for Avon during his junior season. Kaufmann can also return kicks and is a good tackler with the ability to contribute on special teams.
