HER Realtors open new office in Lima

LIMA — There’s a new player in the real estate market in Lima.

HER Realtors have opened an office at 102 Devonshire Drive, Lima.

“We’re growing in all different areas in Ohio,” said Shawn Adams, president of HER Realtors. “This is one of the areas that we had a vacancy so we decided we wanted to move here. We’re very excited about this overall. We think we have a good value proposition and we’re ready to help the customers out there find houses.”

Kaye Acheson-Conley is the associate broker for the Lima office.

She’s been in the local real estate business for decades.

“I retired Acheson Realty. My father started it in 1964 and I’ve been the owner-operator and I have 30 years in the business,” Acheson-Conley said.

She says the real estate business has been good to her.

“It’s allowed me to raise my family and be where I needed to be and I’ve met so many people over the years and the challenge and to represent the sellers and the buyers and the whole industry,” Acheson-Conley said.

She says property owners have the upper hand in this market.

“It’s a seller’s market and we have low inventory, which of course still makes that demand very high,” she said.

With all of the nuances of the real estate business, it doesn’t make much sense to do it alone.

“I would not suggest that. The industry has changed so much. The contacts and the team of professionals it takes to get from one beginning to the end — from insurances to the lenders to the inspections and it’s certainly always buyer beware,” she said.

Members of the Lima/Allen County Chamber of Commerce and HER Realty cut the ribbon on its first Lima office.
