NAME WELL, SOME SAD NEWS HERE. MIDDLETOWN HIGH SCHOOL IS MORNING THE LOSS OF ONE OF ITS TECHNOLOGY DEPARTMENT STAFFERS. MATTHEW COMBS WAS ASSISTANT SUPPORT TECHNICIAN WHERE HE HELPED WITH INTERN PROGRAM AT THE SPOT. THE SUPERINTENDENT SAYS COMBS WORKED TIRELESSLY TO MAKE SURE CHROMEBOOKS AND HOT SPOTS WERE DELIVERED FIXED AND IN THE HANDS OF STUDENTS VISITATIONS STARTS TUESDAY NIGHT AT 5:00 AT TUFTS FUNERAL HOME IN LOVELAND FOLL

Middletown Schools is mourning the loss of staff member Matthew Combs. Combs, 32, of Mason, Ohio, died Thursday. Combs worked in the school’s technology departments, ensuring Chromebooks and hot spots were delivered, fixed and in the hands of students. “Matthew worked tirelessly in our technology department. He ensured Chromebooks and hot spots were delivered, fixed, and in the hands of our students. This morning, we asked his colleagues and friends in the Technology Department to write a few words about Matthew,” a statement from the school reads in part. “Matt was the heart and soul of the student intern program at ‘The Spot’ in Middletown High School, which he helped develop and create. He always had a smile and was willing to help anyone at any time. We will miss Matthew, especially his kindness and friendship.
