Central Michigan basketball game vs. Ohio postponed due to COVID-19
MOUNT PLEASANT, MI — COVID-19 has hit the Central Michigan men’s basketball team.
The Mid-American Conference announced Friday that the Chippewas’ home game against Ohio on Saturday has been postponed due to COVID-19 protocols within the CMU program.

Efforts will be made to make this game up later, according to the conference. Earlier this season, the MAC announced that it has modified its 2021-22 COVID-19 rescheduling policy.
The decision was unanimously supported by the Conference’s Directors of Athletics due to the current rise in COVID cases and its impact on winter sport programs.
If possible, games that cannot be played as scheduled will be rescheduled. If a game cannot be played and cannot be rescheduled, it will be considered a no contest.
There is no word on future CMU games. The Chippewas next game is scheduled at Buffalo on Jan. 18.
CMU is 2-12 under first-year head coach Tony Barbee.
