Wolf’s Ridge announces opening for Understory taproom and lounge
Wolf’s Ridge Brewing sister concept Understory will open its lounge and bar areas on Jan. 21.
The restaurant, taproom and event space concept has slowly rolled out its opening, with the event space unveiled in October.
Customers visiting the bar and lounge can expect food, beer and cocktails unique to the space, and a plant-based menu targeting a health-conscious crowd.
The concept will operate in half of the building, with Wolf’s Ridge operating the other half.
The historic mixed-use Open Air building at 2571 Neil Ave. in the University District already houses Butcher Shop Fitness and is also set to include a second location for Emmett’s Café. The Kelly Co. bought the former school and renovated it in the mixed-use development.
Hours for the bar and lounge area will initially be 4 to 11 p.m. Thursdays and 4 p.m. to 12 a.m. Fridays and Saturdays, with plans to add Wednesday and Sunday hours.
