Columbus Realtors names Sue Van Woerkom as 2022 president
The Columbus Realtors trade association has selected Madison County Realtor Sue Van Woerkom as this year’s president.
Van Woerkom, an agent with Corcoran Global Living, replaces last year’s president, Michael Jones.
Van Woerkom brings 24 years of experience as a Realtor to the position, much of it specializing in farms, land and luxury real estate. Van Woerkom received a Realtors’ Lifetime Achievement award in 2016 and was named Salesperson of the Year in 2017 by the Columbus Realtors.
Before becoming a real-estate agent, Van Woerkom worked as a registered nurse, and continues to maintain her nursing license.
She and her husband, Linn, live in a log cabin where they keep three goats, seven beehives, and a vegetable garden, along with four cats and two dogs, according to a Columbus Realtors news release.
As Columbus Realtors president, Van Woerkom will preside over an organization that includes more than 9,600 real estate agents and other industry professionals throughout the Columbus area.
