PARKERSBURG — A local technology services provider is expanding its services to Kentucky.

Mike Williams, president of iTech, has announced the acquisition of Shofner Business Solutions of Lexington, Ky.

Shofner, an exclusive Xerox agency serving Eastern Kentucky, joins the iTech team, which has offices in Parkersburg, Athens and Marietta.

“We are proud to be expanding our services to Kentucky,” Williams said. “Our company continues to grow and we are continuing to look for additional opportunities.”

The acquisition of Shofner is the fourth expansion of iTech’s services in 2021. The compaby acquired Stoffel IT, Advanced Alarm and Ohio Valley Security all within the past few months.

iTech’s business model of incorporating much-needed technology services in a one-stop location is the driving force for its continuing expansion, according to Williams.

“Business owners like the idea of having one company provide all their technology needs,” said Williams. “iTech is really all about helping businesses create, share and protect their information, giving them peace of mind so they can focus on other aspects of their business.”

iTech will continue to provide Xerox services for Shofner, but its customers also will have the advantage of iTech’s IT, security and marketing services.

Williams began iTech in 2001 as the sole employee. By expanding services, iTech now employees more than 30 people and is looking to add more.

Founded in 2001, iTech is the area’s leading technology services provider serving commercial and residential customers. iTech’s services include IT (cyber security, anti-virus, networking, VoIP), security systems (burglary and fire protection, video surveillance, intercom systems), Xerox copiers and printers, and marketing (website optimization, public relations and social media).
