Dry Mill announces opening; Broken Egg to open at Easton
Breakfast, brunch and lunch chain Another Broken Egg is set to open at 3942 Townsfair Way at Easton on Tuesday, Jan. 4. Originating in Louisiana in 1996, the chain has seven locations in Ohio; this is the first in the Columbus area.
The city’s first sober bar, The Dry Mill, announced it will be opening on Saturday, Feb. 5. Located at 79 S. Fourth St. in Downtown, the establishment will exclusively feature non-alcoholic beverages.
Ashtyn’s Seafood House opened last week at 1047 Polaris Pkwy. To supply the restaurant’s menu, owner Ashtyn Chen focuses on locally raised seafood, including fish and shrimp raised at his aquaculture facility, The Ocean’s Friend, in Pataskala.
New Jersey-based Playa Bowls, which has a location at 1952 N. High St. near campus, announced a second Central Ohio spot coming to 5775 N. Hamilton Rd. near New Albany. The chain features acai bowls, smoothies and juices.
A GoFundMe campaign has been launched in support of Legacy Smokehouse, which experienced a devastating fire at its Hilliard location (3987 Main St.) a week before Christmas. Reports say the building sustained heavy damage. Legacy had just received approval for a bourbon bar on the upper floors of its building.
