Dry Mill announces opening; Broken Egg to open at Easton

David Payne of Canal Winchester, left, and Colin Thomas of Delaware, friends since their middle school days in Worthington, hope to open The Dry Mill, a sober bar, near Downtown Columbus before the end of the year.

Breakfast, brunch and lunch chain Another Broken Egg is set to open at 3942 Townsfair Way at Easton on Tuesday, Jan. 4. Originating in Louisiana in 1996, the chain has seven locations in Ohio; this is the first in the Columbus area.

The city’s first sober bar, The Dry Mill, announced it will be opening on Saturday, Feb. 5. Located at 79 S. Fourth St. in Downtown, the establishment will exclusively feature non-alcoholic beverages.

Ashtyn’s Seafood House opened last week at 1047 Polaris Pkwy. To supply the restaurant’s menu, owner Ashtyn Chen focuses on locally raised seafood, including fish and shrimp raised at his aquaculture facility, The Ocean’s Friend, in Pataskala.

New Jersey-based Playa Bowls, which has a location at 1952 N. High St. near campus, announced a second Central Ohio spot coming to 5775 N. Hamilton Rd. near New Albany. The chain features acai bowls, smoothies and juices.
