But that won’t stop Woods from captivating the golf world this weekend in the 2021 PNC Championship as he plays alongside his son, Charlie, in the annual parent-child event at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Club in Orlando, Florida.

It’s a fitting return to the public eye for Woods, whose last televised round came in the same event last year. The Saturday-Sunday event is a two-man scramble, and it’s more of a feel-good celebrity showcase than a cutthroat competition. But even if Woods isn’t piping bombs off the tee like he did in his prime or generating tour-caliber spin rates with his wedges, he’ll still be competing.
