Ohio troopers issue 557 citations in a week as part of distracted driving crackdown


The Ohio State Highway Patrol issued 557 citations across the state for distracted driving last week as part of a six-state trooper initiative.The 6-State Trooper Project collaborated to focus on distracted driving enforcement. Over the course of a week, troopers in Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Ohio increased enforcement on the roads to crack down on distracted driving.OSP issued 557 total citations throughout the state for distracted driving. Troopers issued 59 citations in Hamilton County, 14 in Warren County and 12 in Butler and Clermont counties.For the full breakdown of citations issued, click here.
