Dominick named OAC Softball Hitter of the Week

Mount Union senior third base player Maggie Dominick has been named OAC Hitter of the Week for the week of April 5

Mount Union senior third base player Maggie Dominick of Tuscarawas Central Catholic has been named Ohio Athletic Conference Softball Hitter of the Week for the week of April 5.

This is the third week in a row that a Purple Raider has been named hitter of the week.

This marks Dominick’s second honor of being selected as the hitter of the week in her collegiate career. This past weekend Dominick went 11 for 16 as she drove in seven runs with a .688 batting average. Her biggest at-bats came in the sixth and seventh innings of the final match up against Ohio Northern on the weekend. Back-to-back singles resulted in the go-ahead run in both innings. Unfortunately, the Raiders would go on to drop that matchup with a score of 11-10.

She is currently second on the team with eight doubles, three of which coming from this past weekend, as well as RBIs as she has tallied up 25 on the season.

The Raiders will continue their OAC doubleheader season as they travel the Muskingum on Saturday, April 10 with games set to begin at 1 and 3 pm.
