One arrested in stabbing of teen on NYC subway

A 16-year-old was stabbed while on an uptown D train in the Bronx, according to the NYPD and police sources.

Cops subsequently collared a suspect and recovered a knife at the scene, the sources said.

The teen was jabbed once in the torso by a man in his 40s at around 6:10 p.m. Friday, the sources said.

The wounded teen got off the train at Fordham Road and the Grand Concourse and was taken to St. Barnabas Hospital with non life-threatening injuries, police said.

The NYPD did not immediately confirm an arrest, but police sources said a suspect ran onto the tracks after the stabbing and was taken into custody by responding cops, who recovered a knife at the scene.

A little more than three hours later, a man was slashed by a stranger during an argument at a South Bronx train station Friday night.

The victim, 42, encountered his attacker on platform at the 125th Street and Lexington Avenue stop as he waited for a downtown 6 train.

Once board, the suspect, who was clad in blue jeans, a gray jacket and brown hat, began to yell and curse, sources said.

That’s when the victim told the profane passenger, “Relax, there are kids on board.”

When they exited at the Cypress Avenue station shortly after 9:30 p.m., the suspect stepped onto the platform and slashed the victim on his top lip, police said.

The victim refused treatment for the minor injury, and the suspect fled the scene, according to the NYPD.
