Actor Rajkummar Rao, who is currently gearing up for his upcoming biopic ‘Srikanth’, heaps praises on singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh. The Punjabi singer recently starred in Imtiaz Ali directed biographical film ‘Chamkila’. Rajkummar claimed that no one in the Hindi film industry could have pulled off the role the way Diljit did.

Actor Varun Dhawan, who turned 37 on Wednesday, shared a glimpse on social media of  his birthday on Instagram. Varun took to social media to share a slew of pictures featuring him, his mother Karuna, his wife Natasha, niece and his dog Joey.

‘Dil To Pagal Hai’ co-stars Karisma Kapoor and Madhuri Dixit will reunite on the upcoming episode of the dance reality show ‘Dance Deewane’. Karisma will be present as the guest judge along with Suniel Shetty and Madhuri. 

In a new promo for the upcoming ‘Dance Deewane’ episode, Madhuri and Karisma can be seen recreating their popular face-off scene from the 1997 superhit romantic musical ‘Dil To Pagal Hai’. 

Renowned music composer Ram Sampath and singer Sona Mohapatra collaborated on a song called “Senti Akhiyaan,” which was inspired by Mexican painter Freida Kahlo.

Sampath had the notion to create a music video in which the icon and Mohapatra meet.

“I’ve always been inspired by the fearless spirit, art and unique fashion of the legendary Mexican artist Frida Kahlo. Long before she was discovered by fashion editors in our art and lifestyle space, I had postcard prints of all her paintings framed and put up on my hostel wall even as a student.”

“Loved that she sported bushy eyebrows, wore colour unabashedly and flaunted her roots and identity as a Mexican with pride and aplomb,” Mohapatra told news agency IANS.

She claimed that the idea for the music video, “I meet the icon Frida,” came from her partner Sampath.

“He felt that the Senti Akhiyaan composition and music arrangement had a strong Latin American flavour, and it was fitting to draw inspiration from her imagery and in a sense also pay homage to our common love of celebrating our roots vs blending into the generic landscape of what is considered pretty or glamourous in the larger public eye,” she added.
