Diljit Dosanjh Thanks Imtiaz For Chamkila, Reacts To Fans’ Catchy Sign ‘Hoega

Going forward, he expressed that Indian fans don’t support Indian artists as much as they support international artists and that we should support Indian artists after he read one of the holding signs by a fan at the concert, “Hoega Bieber, Hoega Travis, Sadda Toh Eh Hi Hai Diljit.”

Diljit is widely popular with a strong fan base and is renowned for his lively on-stage shows. He was also among the few Indian celebrities to perform at Coachella 2023. Several celebrities, including Ayushmann Khurrana, Kriti Sanon, Varun Dhawan, Vijay Varma, Tamannaah, Maniesh Paul and others attended the concert.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Diljit is being lauded for his role in the film – Amar Singh Chamkila, directed by Imtiaz Ali. The film takes a deep look into the life and legacy of the legendary Punjabi artist, Amar Singh Chamkila, with Diljit essaying the role of the singer, and Parineeti Chopra portraying his wife, Amarjot.

Talking about the journey of creating Amar Singh Chamkila, Imtiaz Ali earlier said in an interview, “Stories of young musicians that challenge the norms of society, who see unprecedented success and then have violent ends is, unfortunately, a worldwide phenomenon. The life and times of Chamkila raised important questions for society but ultimately it is a celebration of the life of an artist, the story of a musician who could never give up his first love – music.”
