Chinese brand Elf Bar came under public scrutiny after its battery-operated vaping device exploded inside a home in Oregon. A massive fire sparked out of the e-smoking device while it was charging. A baby was placed a few feet away when the tiny explosion happened in the living room. The video of the entire incident was captured on a security camera. Following the Elf Bar Vape blast, the mother of the toddler, who was sitting in a high chair, rushed to the spot upon hearing a loud bang. The incident shocked many on the internet.

A report by the Daily Mail mentioned that the mother, whose identity is not known, went to the pantry to get her baby a snack when the explosion happened inside the residence. She recalled the fear caused when a fire burst out from her vape about two feet from the baby. No one was hurt in the mishap that reportedly happened last week.
Notably, the China-made Elf Bar, similar to the majority of e-cigarettes, functions through a lithium rechargeable battery. If the temperature reaches a certain point, there is a high chance that it may blow up. It is advised to keep the battery away from the sunlight.
