Licking Park District board seat opening

All persons interested in being considered need to complete and submit the following no later than Dec. 15:

• Contact Mindy Wilkinson, judicial assistant, at 740-670-5714 or [email protected] to receive a questionnaire for Licking Park District Board of Commissioners candidates.
• Complete said questionnaire and submit with a resume and cover letter to Licking County Probate Court Judge Deborah G. Lang.Materials may be submitted either by regular mail to Licking County Probate Court, County Courthouse, 1 N. Park Place, Newark, Ohio 43055 or electronically to [email protected] candidates should have a genuine interest in both open space preservation and passive recreation. Consideration will be given to experience, knowledge and diversity of each candidate. Information regarding the statutory obligations and responsibilities of park districts and park commissioners can be found in Chapter 1545 of the Ohio Revised Code. All resumes and cover letters from candidates are considered public records and are available for inspection and/or photocopying at the court.The court will accept written comments from the public advocating for the appointment of a specific individual to the board. These written comments may be presented to the court by mail through noon on Dec. 15. All written comments must be signed by the author. Anonymous letters will not be considered. All written letters are public records and will be available for inspection and photocopying at the court.
