Child Abusers Call People Who Are Stopping Their Abuse Child Abusers – The American

Nebraska Republicans seek to pass the “Let Them Grow Act,” legislation banning genital mutilation and other attempts to medically alter the bodies of children for the purpose of assuming a different gender.

Megan Hunt, a bisexual state senator who claims to mother a transgendered child, leads an effort to block all legislation in protest of the Let Them Grow Act.

“We’re not like you,” the Omaha Democrat accurately told Republicans. “This bill harms me in an unforgivable way.”

Does not castration and mastectomy harm children in an unforgivable way?

Hunt tells legislators who disagree with her on the act, “Don’t say ‘hi’ to me in the hall. Don’t ask me how my weekend was. Don’t walk by my desk and ask me anything. Don’t send me a Christmas card — take me off the list. You don’t know me. We have no relationship.”

One hopes one or two or 10 Republicans amuse themselves by saying “hi” in the hallway, inquiring about her weekend, shooting the breeze at her desk, and sending Christmas cards year-round.

Hunt embodies the ’70s mantra, “The personal is the political.” This idiotic mindset destroyed civility and gave its imprimatur to fanaticism and nastiness of all sorts.

Another Democrat cried as she attempted to persuade, perhaps logically, more with emotion than logic.

“No one in the world holds a grudge like me,” Hunt explained. “And no one in the world cares less about being petty than me. I don’t care. I don’t like you. You aren’t welcome in my space. You aren’t safe for my child to be around — or any child frankly.

Leaving aside the irony of a champion of mutilating children lecturing others on how they endanger kids, one hears her words about pettiness and not caring and exclusion and believes the speaker. She announces the ugliness of her soul.

The unicameral legislature broke the filibuster. Thirty senators voted for the bill (and 33 to break the filibuster). It faces a couple more rounds of voting but if 30 support it in a body of 49 the math adds up.
