Denison University baseball wins 24-hour marathon game vs. Arcadia


In the final day of the Snowbird Baseball Classic in Port Charlotte, Florida, Denison University played a marathon of a baseball game, beating Arcadia 25-23 in 10 innings that ended 24 hours after the game began Monday.

In the final day of the Snowbird Baseball Classic in Port Charlotte, Florida, the No. 13-ranked Big Red beat Arcadia 25-23 in 10 innings more than 24 hours after the game initially began.

Starting the game at 11 a.m. Monday, the game was suspended in the top of the eighth inning after six hours, tied 23-23.

The game resumed Tuesday, ending in 10 innings after Denison scored two runs in the top half before halting Arcadia in the bottom half with the winning run on base.

The game ended at 11:10 a.m. Tuesday: more than 24 hours after it began.
