Northridge’s Colette Patti wins OATCCC indoor state title in 60 meters


Colette Patti climbed to the top of the podium Friday as no girl was faster.

The Northridge senior ran a time of 7.74 to win the 60 during the OATCCC Division II/III indoor state track championships at SPIRE Institute. Patti won by the slimmest of margins, edging Cleveland JFK’s LaShay Woods by one-hundredth of second and Tiffin Calvert’s Leah Smith by two-hundredths.

Patti’s teammate Isabel Evans placed third in the 60 hurdles (9.09), and Patti later placed fourth in the 200 (25.92).

Licking Valley’s Reagan Campbell placed fourth in the 400 (59.14).

In the boys meet, Valley’s Trevor Croak placed ninth in the shot put (49-feet-11), and Lakewood’s Ryan Byers placed 12th in the 800 (2:01.15) to lead Licking County finishers.
