Weather continues to delay, close Mid-Ohio Valley school | News, Sports, Jobs

PARKERSBURG — Several area school districts will be closed or operating on delay today due to inclement weather.

At 6 p.m. Thursday, a message from Superintendent Will Hosaflook of Wood County Schools said the district will operate on a 2-hour delay schedule today. Hosaflook said the road conditions will be evaluated early this morning to determine if safe travel will be possible for families and employees.

Other area districts include:

* Ritchie County Schools: closed.

* Pleasants County Schools: closed.

* Wood County Appalachian Council Head Start: 2-hour delay.

* Wirt County Schools: 2-hour delay.

* Frontier Local Schools: 2-hour delay.

* Meigs Local Schools: 2-hour delay.

* Noble Local Schools: closed.

* Eastern Local Schools: 2-hour delay.

* Jackson County Schools: virtual learning.
