While The Shade and Thunderbolt were previously confirmed for Season 2, this is our first confirmation of Jade’s involvement. Created by Roy Thomas and Jerry Ordway, Jade debuted in 1983’s All-Star Squadron #25 and has served on such teams as the Outsiders, Infinity, Inc., the Justice League, the Justice Society of America and the Green Lantern Corps. Much like her father, she has the ability to create constructs and fly, though she can also control plants and manipulate energy via the Starheart.

Stargirl stars Brec Bassinger as Courtney Whitmore (Stargirl), Luke Wilson as Pat Dugan (S.T.R.I.P.E.), Joel McHale as Sylvester Pemberton (Starman), Trae Romano as Mike Dugan, Yvette Monreal as Yolanda Montez (Wildcat), Amy Smart as Barbara Whitmore, Anjelika Washington as Beth Chapel (Dr. Mid-Nite), Cameron Gellman as Rick Tyler (Hourman), Joy Osmanski as Ms. Brooks (Tigress), Christopher James Baker as Dr. Henry King (Brainwave), Neil Jackson as Jordan Mahkent (Icicle), Nelson Lee as Dr. Ito (Dragon King), Neil Hopkins as Lawrence Crock (Sportsmaster), Jonathan Cake as The Shade, Alkoya Brunson as Jakeem Thunder, Nick Tarabay as Eclipso, Ysa Penarejo as Jade and Jim Gaffigan as the voice of Thunderbolt. Season 2 premieres Tuesday, Aug. 10 at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
